Privacy Policy

Pemberton Portraits operates the website pembertonportraits.com. We create custom pet portraits for dog and cat owners. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Pet information. When you create a portrait, you provide your pet's name and upload a photo. We store this to generate your portrait and to let you resume your session if you close the browser. We do not use pet photos for any purpose other than creating your portrait.

Email address. If you choose to share your email (during checkout or via our email capture), we use it to deliver your order confirmation, your digital download link, and occasional updates about your order. We do not sell email addresses.

Order and payment data. Payments are processed entirely by Shopify. We do not store or handle credit card details. Shopify provides us with order information (product, size, shipping address, email) needed to fulfill your order.

Session data. We create an anonymous session for every visitor so you can continue where you left off without signing up. This session is stored in your browser and linked to your activity on our site. You can clear it by clearing your browser's local storage.

We use the following services, each of which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — stores session data, pet information, and generated portraits. Data is hosted on servers in the United States.
• Shopify — processes all payments and manages order fulfillment. Governed by the Shopify Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics (GA4) — tracks aggregate usage patterns (pages visited, time on site, general location). No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to help us improve the site. No payment or password data is recorded.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — measures the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms. If you have an account on those platforms, Meta may link your visit to your profile. You can manage this via Meta Ad Preferences.
• Pinterest Tag — measures conversions from Pinterest advertising. Governed by the Pinterest Privacy Policy.

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep your session alive between visits and to support the analytics services listed above. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles beyond what the third-party services above already handle.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may prevent session resumption and some site features from working correctly.

Pet photos and session data are retained for as long as your session is active. Generated portraits linked to a completed purchase are retained to support download delivery and order history. If you would like your data deleted, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Object to how we process it
• Request a portable copy of your data

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
